Product Description

Designed for commercial or light-industrial environments, this air-filtration system delivers cleaner, more breathable indoor air to places like offices, print shops, restaurants, factories, laboratories, and medical research facilities; pretty much anywhere that requires the removal of airborne contaminants from an enclosed area. Because the air cleaner provides its own air circulation, it can be mounted in a duct system (separate from HVAC system) or independently.

The two-stage unit comes equipped with a HEPA filter, which efficiently removes 99.97-percent of airborne particles down to 0.3 micron in size from the air that passes through the filter, including dust-mite allergens, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, dust, soot, and tobacco-smoke particles. Air passes through a 65-percent ASHRAE pre-filter first, however, which extends the life of the HEPA filter. When operating, the unit draws contaminated air in, forces it through the pre-filter to trap larger-size particles, then sends it through the main filter to trap remaining smaller particles, then it discharges the clean air back out into the room.

Honeywell's F116 Series units circulate up to 2000 CFM, maximum CFMs among all the models. Honeywell Model F116A1122, identical in performance to the model F116A1021, operates on 220-volt, 50/60Hz .All other models F116A1047 (two stage filters) and F116A1120 (three stage filters) come with pre-filter only and blank frames to hold your choice of one (2-stage) or two (3-stage) filters (95-percent DOP Media, 95-percent Ashrae, and 2-CPZ modules) for your specific needs at additional cost Air flowing through these units undergoes two or three stages of cleaning depending on the unit. These modular air cleaners operate stand alone or use ductwork separate from HVAC system. Using separate ductwork helps isolate airborne particles and odors, so they can be captured and may even be used to create an "air curtain" an invisible barrier of positive or negative air pressure that controls the flow of Indoor air pollutants.
